I got to your website l...Emily- Nostalgia beckons. I got to your website looking for a book I had as a very small child in the mid 1940s. It contained short stories that personified various machines and conveyances. There were elevators, steam shovels, locomotives, zeppelins and others with personalities. Somewhat like Tommy the Tank Engine, but I would guess now it was US, from the 1930s. The format was large with brightly colored illustrations. It made me interested in technology, I believe - I became an electrical engineer - but I have never seen it again and do not know the title.
